About Me

I am a resident of Steubenville, OH and have been a Ham Radio Operator since May 2021. I obtained my General license at the end of June 2024, and enjoy learning the digital modes and doing POTA events. I am a member of the Steubenville-Weirton Amateur Radio Club (SWARC). I got more into POTA and other radio-related stuff, including running a scanner network with several other hams in the area. Finally, in May 2025, I received my Amateur Extra just in time for Field Day 2025!

I work as a Network Engineer and also have a small IT Consulting company. You can find some personal blogs on technology at my website, AnthonyDeFallo.com.

Additional hobbies you can find me engaging in are either Storm Chasing for Skywarn or designing holiday light shows (DeFallo Lights).

In June of 2025, I received my vanity call, NA2T. Since I'm a Network engineer, it would only be fitting to have a Network Address Translation (NAT) callsign, since NAT can be the bane of my existence at times!

I am also working on learning CW to complement digital modes for when the "weather" sucks and I need something that can still propagate.
